I intuit this rune to mean that obstacles showing up or needs not met is a sign from the universe that you're living a life that's too small! It means you are being asked to grow and become more of your true self! Life is meant to be good and there is nothing meant to hold us back except if we have it in our mind that something is out to get us then that is what we will experience. Nautiz is just telling us that we are being challenged in a way that cuts to our core and survival is at hand but we also get to know what is most im.portant to us. I have gone through this and it is really like a game...get your head into "the zone" and keep saying "yes" and then see what shows up.

[...] Maybe I’m boiling about this because I know masses of people are going out to celebrate with their mothers today, and I don’t begrudge them that one bit. I had a good birthday celebration. It probably has more to do with the fact that my mother chose her relationship with her pathologically narcissistic, abusive husband over her children. I’m way past feeling guilty about doing what I had to do to separate myself from that situation. I know I’ve made the right choices for myself and I’m on my right path now. But this lingering sadness will probably never fully fade, or at least a part of me will still wish that I’d had a real mother and father growing up. (“Real” meaning parents that were consistently nurturing and supportive, and invested in me beyond my value as an object to reflect their success and social status). Oh well, press onward. This year’s Rune, with its most auspicious timing, is Wunjo.
@ viv- I protected my previous post with algiz after reading about Maryan. Now at the end of 2 yrs Hopefully and surely youve got a better placement. But still... my 2 cents... Try Wunjo for presentations and interviews combined with Ansuz for the speech part of it

It was a great share Viv- an eye opening one-quite scary though-first of all I never ever thought thatthe invisibility factor would come in Dagaaz of all the runes- Dagaaz being the rune of day and sun- infact I thought it were the opposite of invisibility. Even before getting to know about runes I used to wish for invisibility though i was a normally sociable person.I used to hate facing people of authority and when come face to face with them I used to always wish I go unnoticed and would do anything to keep out of their way.I have to shamelessly admit that I get intimidated with authority for no particular reason. So Finally I got a nice white opal stone[an opal has such a property]-which would render the wearer invisible( do not take this literally but as in the case of Dagaaz I used to go unnoticed whenever I needed to and was comfortable with it)But slowly I began to realize that I always used to go unnoticed. When in a 3 or 4 some even if I say something It would go unnoticed. If I call for my kids they just wouldnt come.Eventhough I used to get put of with this at times I used to take pride in it..too so strange of me.When I started to learn about runes I even wondered if there would be one which makes you invisible.
Now coming to the Dagaz part of it I choose to read on Dagaz because it was my rune of the day.In the beginning I was pleasantly surprised to have seen invisibility as an attribute of dagaaz but only after reading viv's article I realized what was happening to me- Just think of it I had not even realized it.And today the day of daggaz I had posted somebeautiful snaps of my owncrochet work on FB and was so dissappointed no one really noticed it.And it so much hurt to see a lot of others posting just meaningless 1 lines to get dozens of replies.Even I couldnt find those 13 snaps and had to fish for it on FB.Maybe it sounds silly and meaningless but it was a real eye opener for me.....

oh... So sad..simona.... well.. In case one draws a Hagal or any other highly negative rune as a divination or rune of the day as an alternative draw a second rune to use as a protection - that is to meditate on to reduce the ill effects of the first rune?I would like the opinion of the other members -
Should we follow the maxim

Being also interested in the astrological part of it- Mercury is certainly the communicator of the zodiac. But Jupiter represents to higher degree the aspects of Mercury for eg. mercury represents Education upto the level of a sophomore while Jupiter represents Higher studies- Mercury _ Travel,Jupiter-Travel abroad across the countries.Well here the question is who comes on to the higher degree? Ansuz or Kenaz?I have my doubts on kenaz - eventhough kenaz is a fire rune - it means torch- but lights just enough to create a spark and not enough to remove darkness.
